Happy Birthday Dad!

26th Apr 2007 - Malaysia Agong's Installation Day and It’s Dad’s 74th Birthday!

We celebrated Dad’s birthday last Saturday (22nd Apr 2006). We had Steamboat dinner at sister Furn’s house. Dad requested for this! He wanted us to get together, that’s his purpose.

This is the 1st year Dad celebrated his birthday without Mom. He celebrated his last year Birthday in Beijing together with mom on 26 Apr 2006 – that was 1.5 months before Mom passed away. They had a “Steamboat Birthday Party”, this could be the reason why Dad asked for Steamboat party again this year.

I know Dad is really happy for the Birthday celebration we planned for him this year. I brought Dad to 1 Utama to choose his Birthday present. He picked a Nike Sport Shoe for his Birthday present. Dad said this is his most expensive shoe he have ever wear in his whole life.

For you - Mom

I want to write something about Mom. She passed away last year - Jun 1st 2006, at Beijing hospital, she was 71. Mom was a primary school teacher in Ipoh (Ave Maria Convent, Ipoh) and I was studying in the same school where she was teaching. Surprisingly she never teach me in school throughout my 6 years primary in this school, probably it was purposely arranged.

I miss Mom a lot, it is almost a year now since she left us. She left for Beijing to my eldest brother’s house for better nursing care on April 5th 2006, and that was the last time I hugged her, and see her in person. In fact, I knew it very well that I will not be seeing her anymore unless I make it to Beijing within the next few months. So I planned my trip there sometime around Sep 2006, but Mom passed away on Jun 1st, 2006. I couldn’t make it to meet her in Beijing – in fact, this is one of her wish that we (the whole family) can spend a holiday in Beijing with her. I didn’t make it. When I saw her in Beijing, she was cold and she can’t talk to me anymore…I told her I was sorry that I couldn’t make it, I wish she could hear me. And now Mom is gone…I miss her lot. I believe all of us miss her a lot. She will be really happy if she knows that I made a write up for her in the Internet blogs.

“Tai Lou”, “Yow” and sister Furn, Mom is a great, she really made it for all of us to get together in Beijing for her funeral - at least we were together in Beijing ONCE!

Meet My Family

We love to bring our children for outings/vacations. The joyful thing is - no matter how tired you are, you will never ever get tired of bringing your children along!
